DAISY Award Honoree

 Leslie Lazar, RN, was honored with The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses for the 2nd Quarter of 2010 at O.R. Nurses, Inc.

The award, presented in collaboration with The American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE), is part of the DAISY Foundation's program to recognize the super-human efforts nurses perform everyday.

Leslie was nominated by a family member of one of her patients at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The patient’s family was struck by Leslie’s kindness and genuine concern for their child. “She established a very special connection with our family by providing emotional support and excellent clinical care.” The family also noted how much they “completely trusted Leslie’s clinical judgment and appreciated her positive, upbeat attitude”. Leslie’s compassion and outstanding clinical competence make her an excellent DAISY Award Honoree!
